Together we can ensure every child has a happy Christmas!
The Christmas Shoebox Project helps Kiwis to create Christmas boxes filled with toys, activities, school supplies, clothing and personal essentials. Then, they’re delivered to nominated children facing hardship through the Catalytic Foundation’s charity partners across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The latest Catalytic Foundation Community Needs Survey, of 208 NZ community organisations, reported many households were unable to provide Christmas presents for their children!
So, every year we gathered our resources, work with donors, businesses and community charities throughout NZ and provide Christmas boxes for every child in a family. In 2023 we provided over 2900 Christmas boxes to families in need.
"Nga mihi nui kia koutou o Catalytic Foundation. On behalf of Whare Timatatanga Hou Ora, we would like to express our upmost graditute to the team for providing us with the opportunity to provide presents to our whanau accessing our services. To be able to see the happiness and joy on the faces of these tamariki is truly a gift in itself, so we thank you for enabling us to do this."
